Bestselling author Peter May visited Central Library recently to tell us about his latest thriller, Coffin Road. Coffin Road like his most popular books the Lewis Trilogy is set on the islands of Lewis and Harris.
Here he is with chair for the evening crime writer Russel D McLean.
Peter who is a warm and engaging speaker entertained the audience with discussions ranging from the different translators and translations of his work to how he learned to do complicated plotting when he was a writer on “Take the High Road” when he had to plot stories up to a year in advance. He also highlighted the plight of the bee and the enormous consequences for the planet, if we don’t resolve what is going wrong.
Peter was delighted to be visiting Central Library again to talk to readers, after the event he signed copies of his new book already no 6 in the hardback fiction chart. He is currently on a round Britain tour organised by his publishers Quercus.
