Briggers, gardens and fascinating women

Just announced – details of three fascinating local history talks we’ve got lined up for you as part of our continuing Edinburgh Tales series.

On 17th April historical researcher and author Ruth Boreham will be celebrating the “Fascinating women of Edinburgh”.

The following month, Queensferry residents Len Saunders and Frank Hay introduce their research into “The Briggers” the men who worked, and sometimes died, building the iconic Forth Bridge.

Finally, Jean Bareham of Greenyonder tours will enlighten us on an unusual aspect of the Old Town, as we explore “The hidden gardens of the Royal Mile”.
