Building stories with Vivian French

A Dyslexia Chatterbooks Writing Workshop
Central Library Mezzanine, Tuesday 27th November, 6.00 – 7.30pm

Vivian French hated writing when she was a child. Now she can’t stop – there are well over 250 (!) books out there with her name on them. There’s Yucky Worms, illustrated by Jessica Ahlberg, the international bestselling Tiara Club books, and the fantastic Five Kingdoms series, the fifth of which – The Music of Zombies – was launched this summer.

So it’s a bit of a coup for us to get Vivian here for a children’s writing workshop which will appeal to primary 4-7 children who are reluctant readers, struggle with reading and writing or who have dyslexia.

Vivian will be the only one doing the writing – but she expects help with the imagining – the wilder the better. Together, Vivian and her audience will create a story which might surprise us all.

So even those who aren’t greatest writer or reader in their class can come and join Vivian in building a story to be proud of.

Please note that booking is essential. Phone 0131 242 8022 or book online.
