Poetry and pics at Granton Library

Reader-in-Residence, Ryan Van Winkle, paid a visit to Granton Library recently for an afternoon poetry workshop.  The kids taking part wrote poems, drew pictures and put together their own magazine:

Most children went outside to play or were whisked away to begin their Easter holidays. But a special few went to the library after-school as they always do.
There we read poems and played some games.
We drew pictures and not a single one was the same.
And at the end of the afternoon, we turned the magic copier on – asked it to reduce and zoom.
And what a scene (you should have been) to see us with our brand-new magazine!
