Oh what a beautiful Morningside Library

The incredible new look Morningside Library opens its doors to the public from 2pm tomorrow afternoon (Thursday 15th December). Come along and take a look round – we think you’ ll be impressed.

Next week we’ll  be hosting special themed days to showcase the fantastic range of services and activities your new library will provide. Here’s the lowdown:

Monday 19th December is Book Group Day, where you’ll be able to get all the help and advice you need on setting up a book group. Better still,  top crime writer Lin Anderson (“Easy Kill”, “Torch”, “Final Cut”) will be popping in at 6.30pm to tell us about her favourite books and Christmas reading.

If you fancy being part of Lin’s audience call us on 0131 529 5654 (from Thursday afternoon onwards) or email morningside.library@edinburgh.gov.uk

On Tuesday 2oth we”ll be running special IT Taster sessions and signing people up for our regular beginner’s computer classes.

Local history will be our focus on Wednesday 21st, where you’ll be able to meet the experts and explore some fantastic web sites.

It’s all about the kids on Thursday 22nd: we’ll have competitions and games galore, as well as a Bookbug Session for 0 – 3 year olds and their parents and carers.

Friday 23rd will be our last day before Christmas so we’ll be getting in a festive mood with arts and crafts activities.

Keep up to date with everything that’s happening on our new Facebook page – and let us know what you think of your new library.
