Interested in historic Edinburgh? Then come along to our free evening event investigating Hidden Edinburgh on Scran
Conference Room
Central Library
Wednesday 26th October
6.30-8pm
Scran is a digital archive of social and cultural heritage including historic photographs, documents, audio and video clips. It has over 360,000 records from over 300 museums, galleries, libraries and the media so has something of interest to everyone! Scran can be accessed through Edinburgh City Libraries and remotely from home by library card holders.
Come and find out more about Scran as we explore some of the hidden gems and stories from our capital city: from its architectural, social and industrial heritage. We’ll showcase records of long-gone Edinburgh. And we’ll take a closer look at some of the architectural details which we all walk past, but rarely stop to take in.
There will also be an opportunity to explore the site for yourself and to partake in some refreshments!
