Online Ambition – using the internet to find a job

Social networking sites like Facebook, Linked-In and Twitter can be really useful when you’re looking for a job or applying for college. But how do you make sure your online profile will appeal to, and not put off, prospective employers?

Well help is at hand – our friends at Online Ambition are coming to Oxgangs Library to look at digital cvs and how to use social media to get a job or place at college. They’ll advise on how to set up safe, attractive public profiles that will appeal to employers.

So if you want to use facebook, linked-in, online cvs and other sites and tools to maximise your chances of getting that job come along to Oxgangs Library on Wednesday 25th May from 6.00 – 7.30pm.

Online ambition is made up of people from Edinburgh Napier University, helped out by people working in recruitment, Internet Safety and Youth Work Online.
