Two words you shouldn’t hear this summer…

“I’m bored!”

Not with all the stuff we’ve got planned for wee ones during the holidays.

Here’s children’s author Andy Stanton to tell you all about Story Lab, our Summer Reading Challenge. (Oh, and his feet)

Now that’s been made perfectly clear all we need to do is direct you toward our listing of over 100 events for kids including puppet shows, animal handling sessions, dressing up, crafts, quizzes and competitions.Throw in some great summer reading and no-one’s going to have the time to get bored.

Things got of to a flying (or perhaps more accurately, running) start yesterday when “World of Norm” author Jonathan Meres got the Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge Scotland underway at the Drumbrae Library Hub.

Jonathan was ably assisted by pupils from Fox Covert RC Primary School, who are really looking forward to a great summer of reading and activities. You can see more pictures from yesterday on Drumbrae library Hub’s facebook page.

Happy summer everyone!
